How It’s Applied

Verda Shield Application Guide

BIO-VEP-A1 / A5 is the primer without insulation for this combination.

PROBLEM 03

Toxicity of VOCs

Painter rolling wet paint on an interior wall with fumes visibly rising into the room

Solved with the same two-coat system as Problem 01 (BIO-VEP Primer + BIO-SEC Coating, interior or exterior). This benefit already comes built into the formula, with no need for an additional product:

VOCThe graphene mesh stops outgassing in both coats.

PROBLEM 04

Mold Growth on Walls

Early signs of black mold growth on an interior wall
Black mold spreading across an exterior house facade

Solved with the same two-coat system as Problem 01 (BIO-VEP Primer + BIO-SEC Coating, interior or exterior). This benefit already comes built into the formula, with no need for an additional product:

MoldHighly alkaline artisanal lime, naturally antibacterial. See Problem 07 for the full technical report.

PROBLEM 05

Proven High Toxicity

Worker handling toxic fumes from a conventional paint can with hazard warning labels

Solved with the same two-coat system as Problem 01 (BIO-VEP Primer + BIO-SEC Coating, interior or exterior). This benefit already comes built into the formula, with no need for an additional product:

ToxicityNon-toxic mineral base: reoccupancy within hours.

PROBLEM 06

No CO2 Absorption

Industrial smokestack emissions over a hazy city skyline, symbolizing CO2 that conventional paint does nothing to absorb

Solved with the same two-coat system as Problem 01 (BIO-VEP Primer + BIO-SEC Coating, interior or exterior). This benefit already comes built into the formula, with no need for an additional product:

CO2BIO-SEC coatings absorb CO2 during curing (24 days).

PROBLEM 07

Mold From Trapped Wall Moisture

Concrete & Masonry
1
1st Coat · Primer
BIO-VEP-A1 / B1
Seals substrate porosity and reduces microcracks that let water in · choose A1 (no insulation) or B1 (100% insulation) depending on the project.
2
2nd Coat · Coating
BIO-SEC-B1
Breathable, elastomeric-like finish that lets water vapor escape without trapping liquid moisture · retains flexibility under structural movement.
Drywall & Interior Surfaces
1
1st Coat · Sealing Primer
Bio-VEP-ECO-A1 / B1
Seals the drywall/plaster paper facing that would otherwise be an organic food source for mold · choose A1 (no insulation) or B1 (with insulation).
2
2nd Coat · Coating
BIO-SEC-A1
Living, breathable interior finish · alkaline pH inhospitable to mold · natural antibacterial barrier · occupancy within hours.
In damp-prone areas (bathrooms, kitchens, basements), prioritize the full system and ensure adequate ventilation during and after application. For metal elements exposed to moisture-related corrosion, see our Metal Surface Coatings. Read the full technical report (PDF) →

PROBLEM 08

Unhealthy Concrete and Drywall

Solved with the same breathable primer + coating system as Problem 07 (Mold), since trapped moisture and organic/chemical substrates are the common root cause behind both problems:

ConcreteBIO-VEP-A1/B1 primer seals the surface and blocks capillary moisture migration, in a zero-VOC, zero-microplastic formulation.
DrywallBio-VEP-ECO-A1/B1 seals the paper facing that would otherwise feed mold, without added biocides.
FinishBIO-SEC coatings keep the assembly breathable, avoiding the trapped-moisture cycle linked to Sick Building Syndrome.
